Found Dead.

ONE OF A TRIO OF VALETUDINARIANS.

Yesterday morning at 8 o'clock an old man named John Coombe, 65 years of age, was found dead in bed, apparently having died during his sleep. The deceased lived in a cottage in Hood Street with two other old men, and had not been able to work for some time, being dependent on the Charitable Aid Board. Deceased some little time ago had a very severe stroke, which caused him to lay up. An inquest was opened yesterday by Mr J W. Poynton, S.M., and after the evidence of John Fraser M'Kcnzie was taken the meeting was adjourned until Saturday.
