The War Office states: — The bulk of the Germans in the viicnity of the Rufigi River, with a strong detachment from the Mahenge area, which are the survivors of a force dislodged from Tabora, are endeavouring to reach our lines bynumerous bush tracks from Ruaha River. Small British columns are clearing the country north and south of Rufigi delta. The re-organisation, of Smuts s troops and the repair of the general railway is proceeding.
