LONDON. Oct. 11.
Wool.—The following arj the prices realised for the fleece portions of the clips named:—Waterwetak, top 23% d, average 23d; Manawa, 13d and 12 l-Bdj Ord, 15% d and 14 e-8d; Two Hearts, Is and 10% d. During the series 37,329 bales were and 34,081 werj sold. There were\j!B29 bales offered on Saturday, whereof 4127 were New Zealand. The sales closed the highest of the series with increasingly strong competition on account of Home nvi.iufacturers. All erossbreds showed a decisive advance upon the opening. Shafty merinos were slightly harder, but short faulty, wasty and fine-haired woolsfelt the lack of Continental support and showed 10 to 15 per cent decline as compared with July.
The Bank of New Zealand has received the following cable from its London office:—The Ljndon wool sales have closed very firm for crossbred. New Zealand wool held over, nil.
