RECORDS FOR THE DOMINION CLAIMED.
THE BUTTER AWARDS

The eighth Waikato Show extending over -five days opened this afternoon in most favourable conditions. There was a very large attendance, Sir Joseph Ward being amongst the visitors. The Association claims for the show a record for the Dominion so far as space and entries are concerned. The space was increased to 75.000 square feet, while the entries total 7000, of which 4000 are in competition. The butter exhibit alone contains 24(5 entries, representative of two-thirds of the factories in the Dominion.

Box of butter suitable for export (open to all factories, creamery re-gistration).—Rangiwahia-Ruahine, 9(5, 1; Stratford, Wangaehu, and Riverdale, equal, 2, with 05% points.
Best box of butter suitable for export (otilbs). —Taieri and Peninsular, 95% points, 1; Te Aroha, 95 points, 2; Omata, 94% points, 3; Stratford, 94 points, 4; Thames Valley, 93%, 5; Kairanga, 93, (>. Box of butter (s(slbs) suitable for export.—Lepperton, Golden Bay, Stratford, Levin, Kairanga, and Ballance, equal first, with 95% points. Box of butter (not less than 481bs) in lib pats. —Levin, 9(5 points, 1; Stratford, 95%, 2; Kairanga, 95, 3; Thames Valley, 94%, 4.
