GUILTY OF SERIOUS ASSAULT

At the Supreme Court to-day, before Judge Denniston, William Boyd was arraigned on four charges of iudecent assault at Waikaka upon girls under ](> years. He was found guilty, with a' strong recommendation to mercy. On a further indictment of a similar character Boyd pleaded guilty. Sentences in all cases were deferred until Saturday.
