Press Association. —'lv Telegraph. WANGANUI, June 2. The Supreme Court was engaged all day hearing the Paterson v. Smythe libel case in which £2,000 is claimed. The jury retired at 9 p.m. and were out when the Telegraph Office closed at midnight. [On enquiry by telephone from the Wancanui Chronicle we were informed that 'the jury returned at 12.20 a.m. with a verdict for £loo.]
