POLICE COURT.
At Palmcrston Police Court yesterday, before Messrs Graham and Durward, .) '.P., Joseph Charles Talk, 1 , alias Watson, was charged that on January 12 at Palmcrston he did enter the dwelling of Henry Waklegra~e and steal therefrom a gold chain, gold sovereign case and cheque book of a total value of 11 (}. The police applied for a remand until Monday next, which was granted. Alfred T'urguson was charged 1ha f on May 2<5 at Palmcrston he did steal one Kaiapoi rug, valued £■!, the property of James Kemp Saint. He was fined in default 2s days' imprisnincut.
