INHERITANCE OF BRAINS.
SELF-MADE MEN AND THEIR
CHILDREN.
By Electric Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright. (Times. —Sydney Sun Service.) Received 5.20 p.m. LONDON, May 5.
Dr. Frederick Mott, pathologist of county asylums, discussing the subject of neuropathic inheritance said it shows that the pattern of the human brain is capable of being inherited iust as the shape and features of the body are inherited. He makes the suggestion that self-made men not infrequently form the first step in the process of degenerating. The selfishness and the moral guile by which they amassed their fortunes for their children to spend selfishly was the first evidence of degeneracy, their children possessing the same selfish instinct and w r ith no need to work they acquire vicious habits and criminal propensities and they frequently terminate their careers in the madhouse.
