STEPS FOR REVIVAL. Manawatu Cycle Club met last evening and discossei varioas proposals for t«e purpose of reviving cycle sports meetings in Palmerston during the summer months. It was pointed out that apart from mot' r reliability trials and a few other minor events, cycling had been ■ ead in Palmerston for sometime past. The meeting deci ed to take the matter in hand, and if possible provide one good cays cycling events which wouli be a special attraction to the general public and draw competitors fr m other parts It was stated t»-at in order to accomplish tne desired result a iair sum of money would be necessary. A committee was set up to canvass the townspeople for sup ort, and also to dispuse of member's tickets, at 5s eacu. Entertainments will also be arrange - tor the purpose of supplementing tue funds
