The Ladies' Hockey Championship tourney was continued on Saturday in beautiful went er. There were about fifteen hundred present. The s.rprise of the day was the easy defeat of the lea ers in A section by Wanganui. Results :
A SECTION. Wauganui 6, Canterbury J. The first spell finished up with t e fcores—one all, but in the second spell Canterbury were not in t< e running, Wauganui ad iugrive goals to their opponent's nil. Tne local girls played brilliant hockey. Hawke's B&y 1, Manawata 1 Hawke's Bay had the advantage all thro, g i this game but could not Lea: tl'eir opponents. Bailer 3, Taranaki 1. Wairarapa 13, defeated Wangauui B 0 This wan a run over.
Wellington 3, Sout land nil. This was ti.e best game of the day. In ttie B section some good hockey was witnessed
Eketahuna 3, West Coast 2. This was a close game but was not responsible for more t an solid play.
The following team has been selected 11 play the Wellington Reps nn Wednesday nest at 230 p.m : —Forwards: Hammer, Crump, Anderson, Fitt, Webb; halves: Hancock, Cookslev, Martin; full backs, Bennett, Skinner; goal, Cousins The Technical-Juniors match will commence at 3.15 p.m.
