A conference between the committee representing interests of ordinary siiarehol era and the directors of the Bank of New Zealand was hel i on Fii ay at Wellington. It is understood that certain provisions of the Bauk of New Zealand Bill, 1913, now before Parliament, aui to* w ich shareholders take exception, were discnsse , but finality was not reached, negotiations still pioceediog. Mr Sydney Kirkcaldie, in an interview on Saturday, remarked: "Ak chairman of the s areholders' committee of the Bank of New Zealand, [ strongly advise shareholders to retain their present holding* pending t e result of negotiations now proceeding with the Board of Directors "
