The Hodgson Shoe Store is showing some fine styles in gents' footwear of the famous "Health" Brand. See advt. on page 1. At their auction rooms to-day Messrs Mounsey and Co. hold a special Easter sale of poultry, produce, fruit. They have a special consignment of household furniture and effects to sell, the contents of a (>- roomed dwelling removed for purposes of sale. The sale is an important one and the opportunity ? good one to secure notable bargains. Messrs Mounsey and Co. also announce that their Mart will be closed for Friday, Saturday and Monday, re opening on Tuesday. Harry Palmer to-day advertises particulars of his regular market sale, which will be held to-day. This will be the last sale until after the Easter holidays. There is a big entry of fruit, which will be sold regardless of cost, as it is imperative that all lines be cleared, owing to their perishable nature. For buyers of Easetr poultry there is a special entry of 19 turkeys, all young and fat, as well as other lines. The first sale starts as usual at 10.30 and will be continued during the day without interval. At one o'clock a big entry of furniture will be sold on account of Simon Foster and others. Owing to the clearing sale to-day at Mr J. A. Hill's residence, 155 Church street, there will be no auction sale at the Mart, but customers may obtain furniture, fruit and vegetables at auction prices. The stock is very large, and buyers can confidently rely on having tneir wants suplied. The Mart will be closed from Thursday night till Tuesday morning, the 25th inst. The M.A.C. finally remind buyers of the great clearing sale of furniture and household goods at Mr J. A. Hill's. The furniture is of exceptionally good quality, and may be inspected by buyers on the morning of the sale. As the vendor is leaving the district he has instructed the auctioneers to clear every line without reserve.
