Hon. Jas. Allen, in an interview, expressed the opinion that New Zealand, Canada and Australia should join hands some day in defence of the Pacific. It was too much to ask the Mother Country to do it. That was our duty. During his visit to Melbourne, Mr Allen attends a meeting of the Defence Council, at the invitation of Senator Pearce, Federal Defence Minister
