APPLES FROM JAPAN.
AND ORANGES. Press Assn—By Telegraph—Copyright Received 9.45 p. m. Sydney, Yesterday. The steamer Nikko Maru brought the first shipment, of Japanese apples, which consisted of InO cases. These goods are expected to prove a formidable competitor to the Californian varieties. The Nikko also brought fifty cases of goodsized oranges for Wellington.
