BARQUE'S NARROW ESCAPE,
SAVED BY A SHIFT OP WIND,
United Press Association—By Electrio Telegraph-Copyright. Received Maroh 17,9.30 p.m. Sydney, Last Night. The barque Pharos, from Autofagasta, narrowly escaped foundering. She was oaught in a cyclone eighty miles off the Cook Group and was thrown over on her bf>ain ends, the ballast shifting. The orew awaited the end, when a shift of the wind caused the vessel to right herself, only to bo thrown over on the other side. She again righted aud the woather moderated.
