A "TATTS" COMPLICATION.
LANDS LUOKY WINNER IB DOOK. (Press Association), Auckland, Yesterday. At the Poilce Court, William Kueebone, of Waihi', was charged with obtaining £771 9s 3d from the ,Bauk at Wai.hi by a false pretence. Detootivo MoMahon stated accused and two others were the wiunors of a prizo of £3300 in a latter sail's sweep on the Launceston Cup and that acsused had left with the whole proceeds in company with one of his partners. The partner, Pennill, in offering to go bail for Kueebone, said all the money had been forwarded to Australia, where both were going for a holiday trip. He fitated two others who claimed to be interested in the ticket bad merely agreed to "come in," but had not paid anything on tlio ticket.
The Magistrate refused bail aud remanded Knoebone to Waihi.
