FEILDING NOTES.
Prom Our Own Correspondent. Mr D. Smart, of the Kimboltou Road Fruit Shop, haa just received ut shipweut of beautiful sweet Oaliloruiau oranges, which he is retailing at low rates. The members of the Feilding Post Office will engage in a cricket match with the Palmerston postal staff at Feililiug on Good Friday. Tho following players will represent the Feilding Lawn Tenuiß Ulnb in their match with the Taihape Tennis Olubat Feilding to-morrow: -Mesdamos Montgomery, and Miles and Miss Spain, Meß&rs Spaiu, Lawsou, Grahnm, Wheeler, Barton, Glasgow, Banks, Fry and Grut. The following officers have been elected by the Kimboltou Football Olubi-Patron, Mr R, Moßeth; president, Mr R. U. Harden; TwentyBeven viie-presidents; secretaries, R. Richardßon and H. Simmonds; club captain, A. R. Bartlett; field captain, T. Fitzgerald; vioe-captaiu, W. Vincent; selection committee, U. Steward and A. Staokhouse with captains aud vice-oaptain; delegates to Union, A. Staokhousa and W. Pratt. Mr W. Hanson donated 20 caps and Messrs A, R. Bartlett and A. J. Pettigrew 20 pair of black stockings, Mr W. Middlemiss a football, and Mr A. Robertson a oupboard iu which to keep the Olub property. It was deoided to insnre against acoideut with tho Manav»atu Union. In oonsequence of continued illboaUh aud medical orders to leave the district, Mr John Rankin has resigned the position as Town Olerk of Feilding. Mr Rankin was appointed to the position in 11)03, and arrived here from Dunedin. Daring his term he has done good work and has at all times had the confidence of the Counuil. No arrangements as to a new appointment have yet been made. The following will represent the Feilding Defence Rifle Olub in their match against Cheltenham Rifle Ulub at Feilding on Saturday:Riflemen Harford, Chamberlain, Pearce, Hyland, Quarrie, Fisher, Aylmer, Innes-Jones, MoElroy "Atkinson, aud Surway.
