From his home he began with a day's journey in ooaoh to the nearest port, fie boooeeded in embarking on a coastal steamer boond for Sydney, and finally, oatohing- the Warrimoo, sailed direct for Wellington. A days journey in the train, and be reaohed his destination after having travelled 1660 miles by hiiiifielf.
