CROQUET.
On Saturday next a team of 14 players from Wanganui will journey to Palmerston to play a return oroquet matoh with Palmerston North. The matoh will be played on specially prepared oourts on the oral at the Sports Ground, and play will oomnenofl sharp at 9 a.m.. The teams will bo entertained' at lunoh at the Grand Hotel at 12.45. The following is the arrangement of play:Doubles—Palmerston players mentioned first: Mr Monro and Mrs Tripe will play Mr Stevenson and Mrs Oampboll; Mr Daniell and Mrs Mellsop play Mr Goodwin and Mrs Sarjeant; Mr Bell and Mrs Bell play Mr Ritohie and Mrs Saunders; Mr Mellsop and Mrs Innes play Mr Sarjeant and MissKnapp; MrLoughnan and Mrs Russell play* Mr Izard and Miss Skeet; Mr Eliott and MrsMcRae play Mr Baillie and Miss Gresson; Mr Fitzherbert and Mrs Fitzherbert play Mr Gordon and Mrs Paterson.
