♦ (Feilding Correspondent.) A meeting of Feilding householders was held last evening at the High School for the purpose of electing a Technical School Committee. The contributing bodies had elected the following gentlemen as their representatives -Kiwitea County Council, Mr Fowler. Orona County Council, Mr G. Wheeler. Pohangina Couaty Council, Mr R. W. Brown. Feilding A. and P. Society, Mr A. R. Mayo. Lytton street School Committee, Mr Goodbehere. High School Committee, Mr W. F. Bramwell. Feilding Borough Council, Mr Jas. Trewin.
Mr Goodbehere wis voted to the chair, and explained that the meeting had been called by the Board for the purpose of electing a Technical School Committee for the Feilding district. The committee had been in existence for two years, and noprovision had hitherto been made for direct representation to the householders until this year, which was in His opiuion a gocd thing. The report as previously published in the "Manawatu Times" was then read, and Mr Goodebehere in moving the adoption of the report referred to the fact that the new building had cost 432,367, and, in addition to that, extras had to be paid for, which rather exceeded the grant, and it would* necessitate a sum of about £50 being provided, but he believed that the sura would be readily obtained. The motion was seconded by Mrßramwell, and carried. Messrs Cobbe, Carty, and Montgomery, were elected the householders' representatives. The Manawatu County Counoil, the Builders' Association, and private subscribers, have also the right to elect a representative. A vote of thanks was accorded to Mr Goodebehere for presiding. The committee subsequently met, and Mr Goodebehere was elected chairman.
