BOY BURGLARS.

"DEADWOOb DICK" INFLUENCE.

Per Press Association. Gisborne, Dec. 2.

At the Juvenile Court this morning, two boys, one aged 12 and the other IU, were brought before the Magistrate on 8 charges of breaking and entering shops in the town. In one case a boy admitted taking £10, most of which he threw into the river. The boys had hidden 52 keys taken from various premises. Detective Maddin stated that the boys had been reading Dead wood Dick trash to which he attributed the crime.

The boys are of respectable parentage and have good homes, but got beyond the control of their parents. It was pleaded that the boys be given another chance. The magistrate remanded them till he ascertained the amount appropriated. The accused were committed later for trial.
