THE HINEMOA EXPEDITION
RESULTS OF THE TRIP,

The Northern members of the Antarctic expedition arrived iu Christchurch to-night and are unanimously of opinion that the scientific results are entirely satisfactory. They took a large number of photographs of the island, dealing with plant and animal life, also views of the islands, but it is feared that the adverse weathar conditions which prevailed will considerably affect the plates and they will turn out Dr Cockayne proceeds to Wellington to-morrow en route for Kapiti island where he will liberate a number of birds captured on the southern islands. THE GOVERNMENT STORES. Wellington, Dec. 2. The Marine Department has received no official report that the Government provision stores at Auckland Island had been plundered as reported by one of the Dundonald's survivors. ~ , The Department states that if the story is true it suggests that seal poaching goes on more or less.
