The newspaper People's Journal says the Commissioners appointed to enquire into the case of Sir Hector Macdonald, unanimously find that there was no reason or cause which would create feelings determining him (g oommit; suicide in preferehoe to conviction of any crime affecting the moral, irreproachable character of so brave, fearlees, glorious, and unparalleled a hero. The Commissioners believe that the suggestions of crime were prompted through spite; honorably acquit Macdonald ; and deplore the sad circumstances of the case.
