BOWLING.

PROPOSED MEETING' OP CHAMPIONS.

ON THE WELLINGTON CLUB - GROUNDS. There is now every probability that a match will be arranged between the team of the Palmerston Club which holds the championship of the North Island and the Victoria Club of Wellington which won the rink championship in the South Island. Yesterday Mr Nash, secretary of the local club received a letter from the secretary of the Wellington Bowling Club, in. which a meeting between the two teams was suggested. The letter reads :— "My directors have requested me "to write you enquiring if such a "meeting would meet with your " approval. If so it is suggested that " the game should be played on our " green. It is suggested that a "trophy should be provided for the "winning team.*' It is pleasing to know that the Palmerston team is quite prepared to meet the wishes of the Wellington Club. Probably the game will be arranged for Wednesday, the 25th inst., at Wellington.
