Per Press Association. Wellington, Saturday. The weather was fine for the concluding day's racing. The attendance was fairly good, and speculation well sustained, £23,434, going through the totalisator, as against £27,831 last year, when there was a three days' meeting. Results: — January Handicap—Petrovna 1, Somerled 2, Hinekoa 3, All started but Hohoro and General Symons. Wen easily by a length. Time, lmin 28 _-ssec. Dividends, £2 8s 6d and £2 17s 6d. Fitzherberfc Handicap—Auratus 1, Gladsome 2, Scarshoot 3. Also ran— Waitarere. Won easily by two lengths. Time, lmin 17sec, Dividend, £4 15s. Racing Club Handicap—Pal.'as 1, Oannie Chiel 2, Canteen 3. All started. Pallas jumped away with the lead, and -was never caught, winning somewhat easily by two lengths. Tim 9, 2min 8 l-sseo. Dividends, £6 10s and ,-fil 3s. The stewards enquired into Pallas' running on Thursday, and considered the explanation given satisfactory. Poneke Hack Handicap—Catherine Gordon 1, Shackle 2, Narcotic 3. Scratched Lolah and Hatley. Won easily by two lengths. Time, lmin 29 2-ssec. Dividends, £6 2s and £3 6s. Protests against the first and second horses for inconsistency were dismissed. Wellesley Stakes—Treadmill 1, King Log 2, Regiment 3. No other starters. Won after a good finish by a nose. Time, 49 2-ssec. Dividend, £4 10s. Zealandia Plate—Advance 1, Cannie Chiel 2. The only starters. Woj easily by two lengths, Time, 2min 83ec. Dividend, £1 2s. Metropolitan Handicap—Hohoro 1, Somerled 2, Ayrdale 3. Scratched— Petrovna. Won by a length. Time, lmin 15 3-ssec. Dividends, £1 193 and £1 5s 63. Penearrow Hack Handicap—Waikakaho 1, Aldingo 2, Good Intent 3. Scratched—Romany Lass, Kowhete, Betsy, Bin gmaD, Dodona, Wind. Won by two lengths. Time, lmin 16 3-ssec. Dividends, £23 Is and £2 Is.
