PERSONAL.

A popular young townsman, Mr A. J. Mahon, wns married yesterday to Miss Annie Walkloy, a daughter of en old Palmerston resident. The marriage took place at St. Patrick's Church. The couple received a large number of presents, included in which was a purse of sovereigns from Mr Mahon's employer?, Messrs C. M Boss and Co., a line marble clock and valuable bronze ornaments from his fellow workmen, a marble clock from tho boarders at tho Koyal Hotel, and valuable eggstund from the employees. Tho above gifts were rresented to Mr Mahon at pleasant little functions, during the course of which many flattering things were said of him. Mr and Mrs Mahon are to spend their honeymoon in Auckland, tbe home of the bridegroom.
