o Cargo by the Sussex. A New Post Card.

Following la a summary of the cargo shipped in New Zealand' by the subsidised steamer Sussex, which sailed tonight for Durban, via Sydney and Freemantle :—From Wellington : 13,000 carcases of mutton, 4756 quarters beef, 260 cases of meat, 3249 boxes of butter, 65 crates of poultry, 50 cases of cheese, 25 cases of mullet, three trusses of leather; f-om Lyttelton, 256 cases poultry, 774 oidrs of pork, 305 boxe3 of butter, 25 cases toneues, 33 cases cheese; from Dunedm, 650 boxes butter; from | Wanganui, 3066 carcases of mutton ; 308 quarters beef, 50 boxes of meat; from Napier, 9436 carcases of mutton, 468 quarters of beef, 284 cases of meat. [ The Post and Telegraph Department has accepted a design for the new penny letter card, which is to replace that at present in me. The design is by G.N. Sturtevant, ot the Government printing office. On the address side are the Royal Arms, and tbe words "New Z?alund .letter card." There is a stamp at ihe right-hand top corner of plain design. On the bottom and left hand is a typical stretch of New Zealand beach with Maoris and canoe. A clump of Nikau palms and cabbage trees appears at tbe side. On tbe back of the card are vignette pictures of New Zealand scenery and genre. Tbe card will appear some time in February.
