HOCKEY.
Tho following will represent the PaX merston *orth Hockey Club in the match with the Drapers to-morrow afternoon:—Da vis. Keeling, Scott, Goldngham, Slack, Watson. Drew, Slack. Louisson, Gibbons and Abraham. Reserves, Wilson and Tucker.
The matches to-morrow will conclude the shield contests,and on this account should prove exceptionally interesting and exciting.
A meeting of tho Management Com' mittee of the Manawatu Hockey Association was held in the Association's rooms, Rangitikoi street", last evening. There was a capital muster of delegates, Mr Warden (Vice-President) occupying the chair.
An invitation was received.from Wel~ lington inviting a team to be sent to play the Wellington junior representatives, and it was decided that a second " rep " team be chosen to play them. The selection committee will at the termination of the shield matches pick the No. 1 and No. 2 teams, and the teams will play a match on the Show* grounds on September 4th.
The usual routine business concluded the meeting.
The following Shield matches will be played to-morrow:—Palmerston v. Drapers. No. 1, referee, Mr Burbush | Alhambra v. Old Boys, at 4 o'clock, No. 2 ground, Mr Rush referee. Old Boys— SimpsoD, Litt (2), Fraser (2;, "Waldergrave (2), Henley, Moles, Keeling, Wood. Reserves—Jones, Watson.
