The Dominion Auctioneering Coy., Ltd., report receiving large entries of pig» and poultry at their weekly sale, . a total clearance being, made of all lines. Big pigs made a ready sale, but smaller ones declined in value. Poultry were keenly sought after,, heavy hens selling to 7s Id each, while young spring, cockerels also sold well. Large entries of produce were disposed of. Quotations : Pigs. —Medium weaners, £1 Is to £1 2s; small, 13s to 19s; slips, £1 9s to £1 15s; light stores, £1 10s to £2; porkers, £3 to £3 8s; baconers £4; sows, £5. Poultry.—Heavy hens, 5s lOd to 7s Id; light medium, 3s to .4s lOd; spring cockerels, 2s 3d to 3s lOd; pullets, 4s 4d to 6s 4d; roosters, 3s Id to 5s 9d; ducks and drakes, '4s to ss; hens with ducklings, 19s to £1 14s. Produce. —Strawberries, 5s to 6s lb ; to matoes, 2s 3d to 2s lid lb; gooseberries, 6d to 9d lb; cucumbers, £1 14s to £1 15® 6d case; asparagus, 9d to Is 3d bundle; rhubarb, Is to Is 6d bundle; beetroot, 8s to 11s case; spinach, 5s to 10s. case; carrots. £1 14s cwt.; spring onions, Is to 3s 6d bundle; radishes, 2s to 2s 3d dozen bundles; cauliflowers, 11s to 13s sacks. 7s to 11s case; cabbage, 3s to 4s" 6d case; lettuces, best, 10s to 13s case, others 2s to 6s case; peas, 5d to lb; broad beans, 3d to 4d lb.
