STOCK MARKET
DULL SALE AT .FEILDING. At the stock sale in 'Feilding yesterday there was little enthusiasm in any section, and, although the supplies over all were moderate the demand was not great. Not all of the fat or store sheep were sold, while the station store cattle market was weaker, there being a number of lines passed in. Only one pen of light bullocks sold in the beef section at auction, but ex-dairy cows and heifers sold well up to late rates. There was no change in the dairy and boner cattle sections, and yearling Jersey heifers wore• not in strong demand. Additional sales included the following:— Fat cattle. —Cows and heifers, £6 17s 6d to £ls 2s 6d; bullocks, £l4 7s 6d. Station cattle. —Steers, £5 10s to £9 16s; yjg. do., £7 15s; Jersey steers, £5 ss; P.A. bullocks, £lO to £l3; P.A. cows, £6 11s to £7 12s 6d; Hfd. cows, £7 18s; do. bullocks, £11; P.A. cross 6tcers, £11; 2-yr P.A. heifers, £6 4s. Store sheop.—Bo woolly wether hoggets at 20s 7d, 66 at 23s Id; 11 shorn b.f. hoggets, 23s 2d; 121 woolly do., 21s 9d; 16 shorn wether hoggets, 22s Id; 98 woolly ewe hoggets at 26s sd, 103 at 30s Id; 102 woolly b.f. hoggets, 23s Id; 57 2-th wethers, 21s 6d; 19 owe hoggets, 21s 6d.
