HITLER’S TREASURE CACHE
BUTLER REVEALS SECRET. LONDON, Nov. 23. A message from Bonn states that Arthur Kannenberg, Hitler’s butler, giving evidence before a British Court m the trial of a British Press photographer, Abrahams, told the 'Court ol a secret cache near Berchtesgaden containing Hitler’s treasures, worth millions’ of marks. As Hitler's ma.jordorno, he was responsible for hiding tho treasures from the old and the new Chancelleries, which were stored for safety from Allied bombing. The treasures included historic porcelain, silver, carpets, furniture and grand pianos, among which were the original instruments of Richard and Siegfried Wagner. Kannenberg said that at home he had gold and silver cigarette cases engraved with Hitler’s name. He was loooking after them personally for Hitler “until we meet again.”
