ROBBERY IN SYDNEY
HOLD-UP BY ARMED MEN. (Rec. 12.15 p-.m.) SYDNEY, Nov. 23. Two city businessmen were last night robbed of £250 by masked men armed with revolvers. The businessmen were lured to a place in the suburbs where -the robbery took place by a promise of a profitable business deal. They took cash with them in order to complete the deal on the spot.
They drove to the meeting place an(l as the car turned into a lane two men jumped on the» running boards. These men had white handkerchiefs over their faces add revolvers in their hands. They demanded the money, which was handed over. In the Sydney Court yesteaday a Royal Navy petty-officer was fined £25 and sentenced to a maximum of two years’ gaol for having carried an unlicensed automatic pistol at night.
