YOUNG CYCLIST'S DEATH
(P.A.). WELLINGTON, Sept. 30. A youth was killed and another injured in Victoria Street, Lower Hutt, early this morning when a bicycle on which they were double-banking was struck from behind by a car. They were : j
Killed.—Duncan McLennan, aged 18, of 75 Cambridge Terrace, Lower Hutt.
Injured.—Trevor Gibbie, aged 17 of 73 Cambridge Terrace, Lower Hutt; concussion and shock, admitted, to the Hutt Hospital. The accident occurred shortly after 1.30 a.m. when the youths were returning home from a dance.
