REMOVAL BY ALLIES. (Rec. 10.25 a.m.) LONDON. Sept. 26. General Eisenhower has announced that five German industrial undertakings are to be made available for reparations to the United Nations.

The first is the Grossdraftwerke at Mannheim, a 35,000 kilowatt underground power plant. Second on the list is the Descliemag Wesser shipyard at Bremen, one of the largest in Germany. The third is the Kugelfisclier Georg Schaffer Company, m Schweinfurt, the largest ball-bearing. plant in Europe, the fourth, the Y Bayer Sche Motonverke No. 2, in Munich, one of the largest engine plants in Germany' ; and the fifth, a large underground aeroplane, truck and engine parts plant near Heidelberg. The burgomasters of certain cities have been ordered to arrange the dismantling of the undertakings and to make the necessary preparations' for shipment. The work is beginning immediately under Military Government supervision. It has not yet been decided to which nations the plants are being sent. United States headquarters have issued a Military Government law, effective from tomorrow, forbidding German businesses to employ Nazi Party members, except as common labourers.

General Eisenhower has summoned General Patton to make a personal report on his stewardship in Bavaria and to report immediately on Nazis holding office in Third Army territory General L. D. Olay told the Press that between 50,000 and 60,000 Nazis are under arrest in the United States occupation zone. Every industrialist and worker down to foreman who is a member of the Nazi Paity will be discharged and will become a labourer unless he can prove that he was not an active member of the party or was forced to join it. “Our policy is the complete de-Nazification of Germany,” General Clay said.
