REPERTORY PRODUCTION

The Manawatu Repertory Society's production "Quiet Wedding" was again well received in tho Opera House last evening. Much of the credit for the success is due to the producer (Miss M. Mortland), whoso work has been favourably commented on by supporters of amateur theatricals and the general public. She has again distinguished herself. 'I ho leading players Mis L. Craven (as Mrs Royd), Mrs A. Wiren (Flower Lisle), Mrs J. Kenning (tho bride), Mr G. Driver (the bridegroom), and Mr T. M. Rodgers (the bride's father) again did well. Miss B. Driver (the nice aunt), Miss M Murphy (the fussy aunt). Miss J. Judd (the married daughter). Miss J. Hassall (the bridesmaid), Miss B. Farraher .'tbsFrench dressmaker), Mr J, Hunt (Denys Royd). Mr M. McKearney (John Royd) and Mr L. Craven (Jim Brent), all contributed to the excellent entertainment. A feature of the production is the colourful flocking Bright music by an orchestra conducted bv Mr F. W. McLeod with Miss F. Tonkin at the piano was much appreciated. "Quiet Wedding" will be presented finally tonight.
