FOXTON HARBOUR BOARD

It was learned from the chairman of the Foxton Harbour Board (Mr J. A. Nash) today that the board has received a letter from the Marine Department suggesting that, as there is now no shipping at the Manawatu Heads, the board might hand over its control to the Manawatu County Council. The board has decided to reply to the department stating that the "matter is receiving consideration and it is hoped that the chairman will be able to interview the department shortly.
