(Press Assn.) WELLINGTON, May 9. An anti-cyclone east of New Zealand is moving away and a complex trough in the Tasman is advancing slowly eastward. The forecast up to 5 p.m. on Thursday is for moderate north-easterly winds predominating; weather cloudy with some scattered rain developing during tomorrow about the high country; temperatures milder. Further outlook: More general rain likely.
A frcet of 5.2 degrees was recorded ai the Grasslands Division this morning. Sunrise. —7.15 a.m.; sunset, 5.19 p.m. New moon: .May 12; first quarter, May 19; full moon, May 27.
