MANSLAUGHTER VERDICT

(Press Assn.) AUCKLAND, May 8. The trial in the Supreme Court of Aperahama Orikena on a charge of murdering his wife, Merepaea Orikena, at Mangamuka, on January 5, concluded before Mr Justice Cal'lan this morning. After a retirement of 45 minutes the jury returned with a verdict that prisoner was guilty of manslaughter. Prisoner was sentenced to 10 years' hard labour.
