Bombardier was beaten in the first round by High Command, was runner up to Christopher Robin three weeks ago in the puppy stakes. King Lomond v.on tlje contest, heating in the first round Lord Kasscga! (.Mrs P. IM. linLighoy, Mastertoh) 3—o. in the second round Sea Queen (Mrs L. 11. ./'ones. Mastcrton) 2 —2 i. in the senti-fuml Royal Boulton (S. Garrand, Mastcrton) 2—J, and in the final High Command (R. Emerson, Mastcrton) 2—j- Sixteen dogs were entered. In the Open Stakes were Christopher Robin (-1. 11. Lewis. Palmerston. North). White Crest (lk Butcher, Ashliurst) and Benny Boy (C. 0. Riches, Palmerston North). White Crest 'beat Benny Boy I2 —0 in the first round, had a bye in the second round, .and in the sciiii-finui was beaten by Escapade (.1. Bradbury. Mastorton) 2—o. Christopher Robin was beaten in the first round by Kull Control (R. -Emerson. Maslerionl 11 —JL. In the. final Escapade beat Ciiiang-Kai-shek (R. Tudor. .Mastcrton) 3 —l j.
