AUCKLAND WATER SUPPLY
(Press Assn.) AUCKLAND, Feb. 22. A tender of £286,412 for the construction of an earth-fill type of dam across the Lower Nihotupu Valley in the Waitakere Ranges was accepted by the City Council tonight. The construction of the dam is estimated to take nearly two years and will be a major factor in augmenting the city’s water supply.
