EMPIRE COMMUNICATIONS

MISSION' TO VISIT DOMINION CANBERRA, Feb. 7.

Arrangements for the control of communications within the British Commonwealth after the war will satisfactorily meet the requirement which the Dominions sought during the Prime Ministers’ Conference in London last year. This deduction is drawn here from- the amicable completion of talks which the British Tele-Communi-cation Mission had during the past week with representatives of the Australian Government. Lord- Reith’s mission will visit New Zealand, South Africa, and Canada. The object of the mission’s talk with the Dominions is to ensure the most efficient, speedy, and cheap Empire cable and wireless channels possible. It is likely that a final conference will be called in London.
