WATERSIDERS STOP WORK

(Press Assn.) AUCKLAND, May 20. The watersiders employed on unloading two ships in the port this morning walked off the vessels shortly after 11 o'clock. It is understood the men asked that unionists only be engaged in working the ships, hut this request was refused. The union members accordingly ceased work, which therefore brought to a standstill the operations on both ships.
