An advertisement in this issue draws at-1 tcntion to a street day appeal oil behalf , of men of tho Merchant, Navy. The I valour of these men, who in some cases ; have served in ships torpedoed on two or | throe i occasions, has aroused the admiration of people throughout the British Empire and it is confidently hoped that the appeal will result in a substantial amount of money being raised for the purpose of providing knitted goods and comforts generally, The appeal will be l made on Thursday, May 25.
