FOXTON BEACH NEEDS

The Foxton Beach and camp sit© were again pubjects for discussion at a meeting of the Manawat.u Automobile Association, at which Mr W. H. Brown presided. Mr Brown reported that the Foxton Harbour Board had agreed to the association's terms regarding facilities at the' beach. The drums for the depositing of broken glass had been used a good deal since they had been provided. He added that the 'Foxton Borough Council was being approached with a view to preventing broken glass from being thrown into the river at the rubbish ■ tip. Tho need for access for cars to the ocean beach was mentioned, and it was agreed that the matter should be discussed with the Harbour Board. It was pointed out that a plantation, to act as a shelter for the road would first have to be establish- ; ed; otherwise any road that was made, would be quickly covered' again with drifting sand.
