YEARLING SALES
(Press Assn.) WELLINGTON, Jan. 14 At tho yearling sales at Trentham today the prices included 625 gns paid by Mr J. Pohlen, of Matamata, for a colt by Robin Goodofllow from. Tigrone. The first Coronach to enter the ring, a big chestnut colt with four white stockings, reached tho same figure but was not quitted and was later sold privately at 750gns. A chestnut colt by Coronach from the imported Legality went to the Takinini trainer F. Smith on behalf of a patron at 1200gns, and a brown colt by the same sire from the imported Canvasser went to K. Austin, Inglewood Stud Kaiapoi, at 1400gns. JEFF SCRATCHED.
Jeff was scratched at 9.40 this morning for the Wellington Cup.
