Canberra.—Knighthoods have been conferred by the King on two Americans, Lieut.-Gencrals Eiehclbergcr and Kenncy. As_ Americans they \yill not use tho title "Sir," but will wear tho special ribbon of tho order. Lord Cowrie announced 37 other awards to Americana. Algiers announces tho following awards: General Clark, K.8.E.; General Patton, C. 8.; and Major-General W. B. Smith, General Eisenhower's Chicf-of-Staff, K.C.B. Twenty-eight American, servicemen were also decorated.
