POLISH BORDER DISPUTE

NEW YORK. Jan. 12.

The Polish question is regarded as a test case for a policy of reasonableness in the European settlement embracing Yugoslavia and Greece, where Russia is also showing a strong hand, says the New York Times Washington correspondent.

President Roosevelt is believed to be eager to dispose of the Polish question satisfactorily before the November elections, otherwise the situation of 1920 might be repeated wherein European controversies figured heavily. There is no disposition to fight Russia over the question.
