FEILDING

Owing to the continued dry spell, dairy production has declined considerably, but ys a compensation farmers have been able to do harvesting without interruption, and other outside work, where materials arc available, has been carried on satisfactorily. The hay this season seems to be of a fine Quality, and so the farmer should be able to harvest a good winter supply for his stock. There is a camp of Territorials now in the Feilding district, and thev are supplying the farmer with labour, which has been reduced by the mannowcr shortage due to Grade 1 men being taken by the Army for overseas service.
