The September mooting of the Milspn Women's Institute was presided over by Mrs Murphy Letters of appreciation were read trom National Park Women s Institute, also from prisoners of war Four or five Milson school children hold a sales stall and made £1 17s 3d, which they handed to Mrs Wood for soldiers' comforts, and members showed their appreciation of such a fine ettort. An appeal was made to members to bring goods next month for the lepei; island. Mrs Campbell .gave an interesting and amusing talk on her experiences at the conference at Gisborne. A competition- was arranged by Mrs Butcher and Miss Terry. Tho stall for October is to raise funds for the hospital work. A roll-call of household hints brought forth some very good results. Circle reports were given by Mesdames Child (arts and crafts), Penketh (hospital visiting); Stidolph (gardening), and Woo*! (soldiers' parcels). Monthly competitions resulted:—Cluster, bloom, Mrs Butcher 1 and 3, Miss Kilsby 2; single, Mrs Jones 1, Mrs Whittaker 2, Mrs Richardson 3; jug of flowers. Miss Kilsby 1 Mrs James 2; vegetable, Mrs Wood ir Mrs Aubrichet. 2. The tea hostesses for October will be Mesdames Jennens, Johnston, Justice, Jones, Kirkpatrick, Ferguson, Kennedy, Leslie, Louissori, McKenzie, Moxon, .Moxhan, McAlistcr and Mandeno. v
