VICHY AND MADAGASCAR

(Rec. 9.30 a.m.) LONDON, Oct. 7. According to the Vichy News Agency, the R.A.F. attacked a car in which General Annet (Governor of Madagascar) was inspecting defence works south of Antisirabe. General Annet and his accompanying Ministers were unhurt. Fighting is proceeding on the Sambainn. plains, where the British are suffering heavy losses, according to Vichy sources. ,
